The Todmorden
Silver Screen Group is a community cinema club based in the Pennine town of
Todmorden in West Yorkshire. The group was set up in the spring of 2005
with the help of 'Todmorden Together.'
The group aims to put on a diverse range of films. Performances
of mainstream movies will be intermixed with cutting edge and
challenging films.
The people of Todmorden have been without a permanent cinema for a
number of years. The Todmorden Silver Screen Group aims to campaign
for a return of full time cinema in the town. This is however
a long term goal and in the interim the Silver Screen Group will
provide regular cinema to all sections of the community in a film starved town.
This is our initial web site, which we hope to develop further in the
coming months.
